The Ending of Beef & the Ants

Does anyone find it interesting that ants are juxtaposed with the Hindu concept of Saṃsāra?

When ants lose a phremone trail they sometimes go into an ant mill or "death spiral," wherein they circle each other aimlessly until they all die.

Samsara is a concept of cyclical change and a karmic death/rebirth cycle.

The final shot is essentially a representation of samsara.

Is the idea that humans are trapped in this postmodern technofeudalistic capitalistic hellscape where our relationships are doomed to be devoid of meaning unless we totally remove ourselves from the system? Like ants in a death spiral?
